Program DescriptionOur After School Program (ASP) represents a critical bridge for parents and children. As elementary and middle school years prove, families face growing challenges to optimally use sparse time and resources. The ASP focuses upon elementary and middle school-age children as to ensure a seamless and safe transition from school to an environment that augments academics, provides nourishment, and promotes edifying athletics at elite levels. Oversight assists in developing and inculcating a work ethic. Likeminded, motivated, enthusiastic camaraderie discovered is invaluable to a child’s sense of joy.
The WKA After School Program is directed by certified and award-winning karate instructors with extensive experience in child development. Our impeccable reputation has made the WKA programs the most respected and successful – at all levels---in our field. Our partners in this effort have been likeminded parents with whom we share our goal for excellence. |
The Washington Karate Association (WKA) has been serving the Pacific Northwest for over 50 years. Recognized worldwide for the exceptional quality of its instructors, students and athletes, it is notable that the WKA was the first traditional karate organization to accept women and children. The Kinder Karate Program was designed as a specified program, the first of its kind, proving that the youngest children were highly receptive to discipline and performance. Many of these children now have their own children enrolled.
